Lorene Flanders, Director of University Libraries at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, posted to the September Project listserv to share three events taking place in Ingram Library during the month of September.
First, Ingram Library will host the exhibit “Anne Frank: A History for Today” from September 7-30, with an opening reception on September 7 at 3 pm. The exhibit is sponsored by the library’s Penelope Melson Society and the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust.
Second, in conjunction with the exhibit opening, the “Jewish Literature–Identity and Imagination” book discussion group, sponsored by the Neva Lomason Library, part of the West Georgia Regional Library System, will open its 2008 program. Academic and public libraries working together = awesome.
And third, Ingram Library will host a talk on the United States Constitution by Bob Schaeffer, Professor and Chair of University of West Georgia’s Department of Political Science and Planning. The talk takes place Wednesday, September 17 at 11 am in the library lobby.
What an excellent and exciting series of events for the campus and community!
